100 Apprenticeships
Future Prospects is proud to be part of the 100 Apprenticeships Campaign run by Newark and Sherwood District Council and the National Apprenticeship Service.
The council has revealed that some 107 pledges have been received to date and the scheme is still running. A total of 55 employers from a range of sectors have supported the campaign, including business services, ICT, retail, construction, automotive, public services, agriculture and engineering.
The council’s Business Manager for Economic Growth, Julie Reader-Sullivan, said: “We are delighted to announce the scheme’s success in passing its 100 target and we want to say a big thank you to all the employers who have supported the campaign by pledging an apprenticeship opportunity. We are thrilled with the response that we have received from the business community.
The council and the National Apprenticeship Service would like to thank a network of partners who have helped to make the campaign so successful, including The Newark Advertiser, Lincoln College, Vision West Nottinghamshire College, Nottinghamshire Training Network, Futures Apprenticeship Agency, Newark Business Club, Newark and Sherwood Employer Engagement Group, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce, Jobcentre Plus and the district’s secondary schools.
