Our Midlands based client is looking for a proficient Legal Cashier/Accounts Assistant to work within their Business Support Team.

THE ROLE
The successful Legal Cashier/ Account Assistant will be flexible as a member of the wider support team and assist with work as required, co-operating with peers and others, ensuring a co-operative team environment, responsibilities include:
- Undertake client billing; handle credit notes, costs transfers, reports, and write-offs
- Manage Payments; Process cheque payments, handle out-of-date cheques, maintain the Trust Register, and authorise electronic payments.
- Oversee banking, electronic receipts, deposit account management, and maintain bank registers.
- Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations, calculate interest, post salaries and pensions, balance petty cash, and check completion statements.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal Legal Cashier/Accounts Assistant will be a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, skills and experience required:
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Accounts experience but not essential .
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A problem-solving mindset with a “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
