Welder/Fabricator

**Welder/Fabricator Newark-on-Trent, Full time, Permanent
Up to £14.75 per hour DOE

Our successful client based in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire are seeking a knowledgeable Welder/Fabricator to join their busy workshop team on a full time, permanent basis. Your role will involve reading engineering drawings to fabricate bespoke products meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

The Role

As a Welder/Fabricator, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• MIG welding
• Fabrication (tools will include band-saw, pillar drill, presses, guillotine, grinders and hand tools)
• Reading technical drawings produced in AutoCAD
• Working closely with the Engineering team
• Picking stock, loading goods and using forklift where required
• Ensure Health and Safety measures are adhered to at all times

Candidate

A successful Welder/Fabricator candidate will possess the following:

• Experience in a similar role
• Certificate in MIG welding
• Understanding and ability to read technical / engineering drawings
• Able to safely use hand tools and band-saw
• Forklift truck licence / certification
• A good standard of literacy and numeracy

A Welder/Fabricator will also be a good communicator, able to work well within a team and be reliable. You will be managing a busy workload so must be able to use your own initiative and prioritise within the workplace.

Flexibility will be required to work overtime and weekends
