Our innovative and exciting client is looking for a Design Engineer to join the team at there Worksop site. Our client is a market leader in their field of expertise designing and manufacturing bespoke products within their sector.

THE ROLE

As a Design Engineer your role will involve, but not limited to:

• Using 3D CAD (SolidWorks) to design products for customers
• Gathering quotes & liaising with suppliers & toolmakers
• Proficiently using Microsoft office packages, 3D printing software & running 3D printers for prototypes
• Hosting and attending shows and exhibitions
• Managing projects from concept or early quotations through to final design and issuing quotations
• Being responsible for initial products and then handing over to production
• Costing out designs
• Dealing with customer enquiries and complaints
• Dealing with Non-conformance reports
• Improving products & solving issues for customers where possible
• Investigating & solving issues in production or from customers where possible
• Keeping a records and products in order

THE CANDIDATE

An ideal Design Engineer will possess the following attributes:

• Level 3 or above in Engineering
• CAD/Solid works
• Math and English essential
• Account management experience
• Previous experience in a similar role 
• Communication skills are required 
• Problem solving and innovative
