The team at Future Prospects Group are proud to be working with an established and highly successful automotive dealership in Newark to recruit a Parts Manager on a full time, permanent basis.

The Role

On a day to day basis, the successful Parts Manager will be responsible for the successful running of a busy automotive Parts Department. You will be required to assist the team by carrying out goods inwards duties, responding to parts enquiries, general administrative tasks, parts administration as well as providing a high level of customer service using their in-house dealer management computer system. In addition, the Parts Manager will have key involvement in the following duties:

  • Ensuring a fluid transition of parts coming in and out of a goods inwards department
  • Identification, ordering and allocating of parts required for the internal workshop and front counter customers
  • Keeping other members updated with parts orders
  • Maintaining existing supplier relationships
  • Performing any other ad hock tasks, such as stock taking, parts allocating and general cleansing of stock as required, which will help to contribute to the overall performance of the department
  • Liaising with management and reporting on monthly targets and KPIs

The Candidate

The successful Parts Manager will have experience in an automotive environment (cars, caravans or motorhomes). A good knowledge of dealer management systems i.e. Kerridge, Pinnacle or similar would be an advantageous, however this is not essential, as full training will be provided.

We are seeking a proactive, friendly and confident customer-focused individual who can deal with all kinds of customers under pressure and remain professional at all times. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role and the ability to work as part of a busy team.
