We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven & dedicated Breeder Farm Manager to join our client’s farm based in Pocklington on a full-time permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience on a livestock farm, an ability to manage sites effectively with strong attention to compliance and health and safety, as well as experience with welfare regulations, record keeping and overseeing the maintenance of machinery and equipment.

THE ROLE

The successful Breeder Farm Manager will be required to:

• Organise farm administration, work equipment and oversee contractors on site
• Monitor animal health and welfare, liaising with Vets
• Oversee material usage and farm performance to meet business goals
• Work closely with senior management to communicate site needs to maximise quality
• Monitor and order supplies
• Organise the maintenance and repair of machine and equipment
• Ensure health and safety standards across the site and ensure government guidelines are complied with

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Breeder Farm Manager will demonstrate the following experience/qualifications:

• Ideally a NVQ qualification in Poultry production
• Livestock/Poultry experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to manage time effectively
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Computer Literate
