Application Support Analyst
Newark, Full time, Permanent
£30,000 to £34,000 dependent upon experience plus excellent benefits

Our Newark based client is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join their busy and growing team on a full time and permanent basis.

Role and Responsibilities

As Application Support Analyst your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the company’s bespoke applications, databases and satellite systems
  • Support and update the company’s Information Systems in line with specific timescales, budget and departmental standards
  • Provide technical support, guidance and advice to the wider team in order to share knowledge
  • Support the assessment and resolution of system faults raised by colleagues in other departments
  • Delivery of tasks to agreed timescales and cost-effectively
  • Create and maintain methods and standards used within the IS function in order to maintain and improve the quality of work produced

Candidate

A successful Application Support Analyst will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Degree educated within a relevant subject or significant experience within a commercial planning environment
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in SQL and SQL Developer
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience of programming in a JAVA environment
  • Significant experience of technical analysis and design
  • A minimum of 1 year experience using MQ Series
  • Experience in the design and support of unlined applications, suites of batch programmes and implementing web services (SOA Based/REST API based would be an advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of Purchasing, sales order processing, logistics, inventory management and invoicing
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels

Candidate must be a holder of a clean driving licence and valid passport and be prepared to travel within the UK and globally when required
