Production Engineer (Assembly)
Newark, Full time, Permanent
Salary up to £37,000 Depending on experience with great benefits

Our Client is currently looking for a Production Engineer (Assembly) to provide technical support to all departments within manufacturing and to identify and implement improvements.


As Production Engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the specification, sourcing, and ordering of components for equipment manufacture or refurbishment
  • Provide support to the Production Team in relation to processes
  • Completing process improvements through APS and Jishuken activities
  • Capital Expenditure applications for process improvement projects and new machinery
  • Co-ordinating and checking quality of machinery rebuilds in order to increase capacity, capability and quality
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of tooling management systems
  • Control sub-contract requirements in relation to projects ensuring prompt delivery and budgets are adhered to


A successful Production Engineer will possess the following skills and experience:

  • ONC Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification as a minimum (or equivalent)
  • 4 years’ experience in an electrical or mechanical engineering role
  • Experience of PLC programming an advantage
  • Mechanical experience including machine tools (grinding/turning machines) would be an advantage
  • Experience of drawing software and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
