Our Newark based client is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Engineer to join their busy and growing team on a full time and permanent basis.

Role and Responsibilities

As Sales Engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Development and implementation of customer business plans optimising customer sales and margins
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers for growth within their accounts and develop new business with targeted customers
  • Manage new business implementation projects to ensure delivery is on time at the required volume and to the highest standard of quality
  • Work collaboratively with other areas of the business to ensure timely delivery of customer business projects
  • Carry out customer account management on assigned accounts engaging with decision makers and managing relationships/expectations through continuous customer visits and meetings, dealing effectively with any customer issues/complaints.
  • Collation of customer insight and market/competitor data for consideration of new product opportunities or initiatives

Candidate

A successful Sales Engineer will possess the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years field sales experience
  • A Commercial Degree and a mechanical background
  • Experience of project management/strategy/business planning
  • Proficient IT Skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, analytical and a competent decision maker

Candidate must be a holder of a clean driving licence and valid passport and be prepared to travel within the UK and globally when required
